We first fell in love with our herd sire, Quarter Moon Little Buddy, when we arrived at Pete &
Carolyn Christian's Quarter Moon Ranch to pick up our new weanling purchase, Quarter Moon
Lilly. Buddy was a gorgeous foal and was in the pasture with our pretty Lilly.
Buddy was the first baby in the pasture to greet us. He had beautiful dark
color with a bright star on his forehead, expressive eyes, exceptional conformation and a
personality to match. As a weanling, Buddy was not for sale, so our search continued
for a herd sire, all being compared to Buddy. When Buddy was 18 months, we saw him
again at the State Fair of Texas Miniature Donkey Show, and he was for sale. Because
we already had other Quarter Moon Ranch donkeys it was not reasonable for us to purchase
Buddy--but we knew we had to have him. We purchased Buddy, and he is the herd sire
to all unrelated, mature
Jennets. Buddy's owned half-sisters are bred to other
outstanding Texas herd sires. We have not been disappointed with Buddy's
conformation or disposition and he is passing on those wonderful qualities to his foals. Help us the birth of Buddy's beautiful foals!
More Buddy foals are due to arrive. Watch for them on the Donkeys for Sale page.
